Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet? -Anne Shirley-

Visitors

I know my goal was to right on my blog once a week but the past three weeks have been so crazy busy. I go go go all the time and get almost no sleep. Good news though I have done amazing at my other goals 3 out of 4 isn't so bad.

Right after my last post my brother Adam and his wife, Aurora came to visit for spring break. It was so good to hang out with them! We went to Vegas and walked around some really cool stores. One store was full of first addition books. They had one Dr Seuss book first addition signed by Dr Seuss. It was going for at least 40,000. Something like that. It was an awesome store. The week after that I had a friend from Logan come visit during her spring break. Then this past week my family came for Easter. I love having my family here. During the 5 days they were here I got around 3 hours of sleep in the afternoon and around 3-4 at night. So worth it. We didn't do a whole lot while they were here but just having them in the same room doing nothing is a boost for me. We did get to go swimming and to the park, we played volley ball a few times. My Dad brought some hand guns and we got to go shooting. That was really fun. It was the first time I have been but I would like to go more often and practice my aim. for the first time though it wasn't so bad.

I look like I am trying to get as far away from the gun as I can.

I am very excited because my boss redid the schedule at work and I will no longer be working 6 days a week at 3 am. I will work 3 days and 2 early mornings every week. I am so excited to have a semi normal sleeping schedule. I am most excited about Mondays though because they are always the hardest for me. I used to stay up all day for church then stay up till 11 or so because we have a game night at our house every Sunday night. I would sleep for about 2 1/2 hours and head to work at 2. Now I don't have to be there till 8. I can get a solid 8 hours of sleep every Sunday night!

The sun is in our face and we look tired but we had a great time!

Randomness

This week has been great. I taught Sunday school this past Sunday. It was a little rough at first but once I got going I think it went well. My poor teaching partner looked really nervous for me at the beginning. I think he didn't think I would make it at first. I would ask questions and no one would answer. The second half  I remembered what I learned on my mission "don't be afraid of  'awkward' silences".

I got to hang out more with new friends during the weekend as well. It was a smaller group so I felt I could get to know the people better. I am so glad this ward has welcomed me and my roommates in and I can't wait to get to know them better.

We had game night at our house again Sunday night. I always enjoy those. I only wish I didn't work at 2 am every Monday because after game night and only a few hours of sleep I feel like crap the rest of the day. Most Mondays I go to work for a few hours then crash to make up for loss of sleep. No harm done. This week Monday was bad. I forgot to pull out some of the croissants they weren't ready when we opened. Normally it wouldn't be that big of a deal but after that I forgot to press start on the french bread in the oven. After I had been working on the sweet rolls for a bit I  realized it was still in the oven. We had to start all over again. I finally got out of there about an hour late. The funny part is I got in my car and "I had a Sh. Day" by Pink was on the radio. Timing is crazy.

Goals

I always think of things I want to do, goals that I have but I never tell people just in case I don't do them no one but me knows I failed. I decided I want to share some of my goals so I am held to a little bit of accountability. Here it goes:

1: Write something in my blog once a week.
2: I finally have my camera again. I want to take more picture.
3: Keep my room clean/laundry put away (I have no problems washing my clothes but they stay in the basket way to long.)
4: Keep in better contact with my siblings. I call my Mom everyday but I'm not as good at keeping in touch with the rest of the family.

In  Moses 1:39 it says "For behold, this is my work and my glory ---to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." That is Gods goal to help us have eternal life. We are supposed to have goals and become better. I know the goals I have here are not big but they are ones I can work on now.

I don't remember where this quote came form but I like it  "If you don't have a plan you plan to fail" In Alma 12:25 it says "Now, if it had not been for the plan of redemption, which was laid from the foundation of the world, there could have been no resurrection of the dead; but there was a plan of redemption laid, which shall bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, of which has been spoken." God has a plan! I am so glad He does. Like it says at the beginning of that verse if there was no plan "there could have been no resurrection" So I will follow Heavenly Fathers example and make a plan.

1: I am going to make note of exciting things or ideas so I can have something to write about in my blog
2: I am going to take pictures at game night. I want pictures of me and my friends
3:Don't let the dirty pile get so big so when I do laundry I have don't have to put all my clothes away at once
4: Text two of my siblings every week.

In Preach My Gospel it says "Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can accomplish. Through goals and plans, our hopes are transformed into action. Goal setting and planning are acts of faith".

Loving Life

I love St George! In my last ward I was there for over a year and my Bishop didn't even know my name. I hated it! I have been in my ward for two weeks and my Bishop knows my name and a calling. It is my first calling in the year I have been home from my mission. I am the new Temple Prep. Teacher. I am so excited but nervous. I know it will be good for me and I am excited to get to know all the people in my class!

On a lighter note. Work is great! I am working 6 days a week. I was a little worried about that. I thought I would ware out fast but it has been three weeks and I am doing great. I had a great Valentines day. My roommates and I went to my friend/their sister for dinner. She made amazing meatloaf and we just talked for hours. No better way to spend the day then with some of my best friends!

Sunday School

Twice in one week. You should feel lucky!

I wanted to share with you how wonderful church was. Sunday school was one of the best lessons I have been to in a while. It was on receiving revelation. We talked about what you need to do to prepare yourself to receive revelation. The teacher gave a great example about why being obedient is so important for the revelatory process: every time you are disobedient it is like putting a sock on your hand. The more disobedient you are the more socks you get on your hand (until you repent) after a while you won't be able to hold or identify objects in your hand. So if we are disobedient  we have a hard time recognizing the revelations God sends us. I hope I can be more obedient to my Heavenly Father so I can recognize when He is talking to me and be ready to obey right away. The lesson was so full of the Spirit I decided right then I wanted to keep the Spirit that strong with me always not just on Sundays. The biggest thing I miss about my mission is constantly being led by and obeying the Spirit. My goal this week to accomplish this is I am only going to listen to "church" music for one week. It has been two days and it is a little harder then I thought. It is a habit to just turn my ipod on and go about my work. I decided I need to get a CD player I can move around the house. Already in the past few days I have noticed I can feel the Spirit stronger in my life.
This experience has reminded me about a time on my mission. My companion and I had some problems with one another we didn't get along at all. Because of that we didn't have companions studies for the full hour we were supposed to. We would kind of drag our feet to start and finish early so we could leave the house right at 10. We finally talked about it, worked some things out and made a goal to be more obedient and have better companion studies. One day shortly after that my companion and I had a busy morning but we found ourselves with no plans for the afternoon. We thought we had over planned but we had one hour with nothing to do. We pulled over and said a prayer to help us know what would be the best use of our time. We both had the thought we needed to go visit a certain less-active in the ward. Neither of us had meet this family because we had been told by our bishop they did not want to be contacted by anyone in the ward. I was really nervous to go but we followed the Spirit and went. The whole family is now active. I know the Lord sent us the revelation we needed and so many lives are blessed because of it, mine included.

New Beginnings

I know it has been a really long time since I have posted anything but between work and moving  I just didn't have time for anything extra. I am now living in St George. I have been here one week and I love it so much! My only wish is to have my family closer.
The month of January went by so fast! I apologize to anyone in Logan or Idaho that I didn't get a chance to see before I left. I tried to do everything but I had to sleep sometime. This past week I have been working at the best bakery in the world! (that is until I have my own bakery). It is so great to be baking every day again! I have made so much french bread and cinnamon rolls. Today I got to add sugar cookies. By this time next month I will be doing it all!
I have great roommates. I LOVED living with my brother, Taylor, but  it is fun to have some girl friends again. They are forcing me to be more social. In the past week I have gone to Family Home Evening, a party and I talked to a boy (I said that for you Tanille :) ) I also went out to lunch with one of my missions friends and his wife.
Today is my first day off all week and I am going to enjoy some down time before Church tomorrow and game night tomorrow night.

I am so grateful for all the blessing the Lord has given me. Everything just fell into place for this move. I know He has a plan for me here and I am SO excited to see what it is. I am also grateful for my family! They took time out of their busy lives to help me move and spend time with me here in St George. Life is good!
